Larissa Pacheco dominates with lightning-fast finish at the 2023 PFL Playoffs 2. Read about her impressive victory and the upcoming finals matchup.
In a stunning display of skill and power, Larissa Pacheco proved why she is the reigning women’s featherweight champion at the 2023 PFL Playoffs 2. The event, held at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York, showcased Pacheco’s dominance as she made quick work of her opponent, Olena Kolesnyk.
Pacheco, who had predicted a one-minute finish in the semifinal bout, exceeded her own expectations by needing only 14 seconds to secure victory. From the opening bell, Pacheco closed the distance and unleashed a barrage of powerful strikes. Her leg kick set the tone, followed by a series of right hand punches that landed with devastating impact.
It was on the third attempt that Pacheco’s punches sent Kolesnyk crashing to the mat. The referee wasted no time in stepping in to stop the fight as Kolesnyk covered up in defense. This marks Pacheco’s second win over Kolesnyk, with their first encounter in the 2022 playoffs resulting in a first-round stoppage.
With this impressive victory, Pacheco now advances to the finals where she will face Marina Mokhnatkina. Mokhnatkina secured her spot in the championship bout with a first-round submission win over Amber Leibrock earlier in the event.
