Main event of Bellator 226 event Ryan Bader vs Cheick Kongo ended up in no contest after accidental eye poke from Ryan Bader after ground and pound. It was a first round, Bader start swinging and some of the shots landed on Kongo’s head who was backing down. After couple of exchanges Bader went for a takedown and ended up on top of Kongo who was sitting with his back next to the cage. Bader started some ground and pound from a sitting position and accidental eye poked Kongo. Referee saw that , and he invited doctor in the cage. After checking out Kongo’s eye doctor said that he can not continue and fight was stopped in minute 3:52 of very first round.
