Bellator 208 Fedor vs Sonnen is in the books and now we know the finalist of Bellator heavyweight Grand Prix. Two fighter who are going to fight for the World Champion are Fedor Emilianenko and Ryan Bader.
But let’s go back to tonight’s event, Sonnen vs Fedor. Sonnen started a fight with putting so much pressure on Fedor. From the 1st second he was attacking Fedor, pushing for takedowns, boxing with, try to push him to the cage, using pressure… but every single attack he tried on him, was coming with the high price. Fedor was just simply reading every Sonnen attack and easily counter attack him every time when Sonnen tried something. As a result of that, Sonnen was dropped couple of times in early phase of first round by the Fedor heavy hands.
After couple of blocked attempts, Sonnen finally was able to put Fedor down, but strength of Fedor seems to be too much for Sonnen. In one moment, just for a second, Sonnen put Fedor in mount poistion, and Fedor just used his strength to push him on the side overturn the position and stood up.
Chael tried to stand up as well but Fedor cought him with right hook and he fell down again. Fedor followed him and started wishes ground-and-pound on Chael who covered his head and not trying to do nothing but protect his head and in this moment referee stopped the fight at minute 4:46 in 1st round.
