Bellator 267 – Douglas “The Phenom” Lima vs Michael “Venom” Page 2

One of the most anticipated rematches in Bellator history is about to happen. Douglas “The Phenom” Lima (32-9)  vs Michael “Venom” Page (19-1) will happen this this Friday, Oct. 1 in The SSE Arena, Wembley in London.

Michael “Venom” Page MVP, currently ranked as No 2 Welterweight will finally had his chance to revenge the only loss in his career which happened against – Douglas Lima. On May 11, 2019 at BELLATOR MMA 221 nearly two-and-half years ago on May 11, 2019, Lima advanced to the final of the BELLATOR Welterweight World Grand Prix by stopping MVP at 35 seconds of the second round.
Every time before and after that moment, when ever we had a chance to watch amazing MVPs skills and unique fighting style, he was dominating his opponents and usually finishing them in spectacular fashion (12 KO finishes). Also, in that match against Lima, he was the one controlling the cage and setting up the pace of the fight – until he was caught by that perfect combination of really well timed low kick followed by right hook landed by Douglas “The Phenom” Lima.

Douglas “The Phenom” Lima currently No 1 ranked Welterweight, former 3 times Bellator champion, Bellator Welterweight World Grand Prix winner in 2019 ( $1 mill prize winner) is considered as one of the best Welterweight in the world, regardless of fighting organisation. “Under his belt” he has victories against some of the MMA legends: Rory MacDonald, Paul Daley, Andrey Koreshkov and Michael “Venom” Page.
Beside that, Lima has a “ton of experience”, he had fought 41 match in his career and he won 32 of them; 16 by KO, 12 by submission and 6 by decision. This tell us that Lima can finish his opponents on many different ways, he has knockout power but also submission skills – he is Black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

How good these two fighters are, and what could we expect to see this Friday, maybe it would be the best to see in latest Bellator released video of best stoppages of these two fighters:
