Paul Daley retired in style: by amazing KO

It was the last fight on the schedule, in front of his home crowd, Paul Daley needed a knockout to put an end to his amazing career. But Wendell Giacomo had other plans, he saw this as an amazing opportunity and pushed Daley to the limits, having him almost in a choke. Paul Daley was able to turn around the fight and finish it with a spectacular knockout

Biggest carrier victory for Fabian Edwards

Great night for Fabian Edwards! He had the biggest challenge in his career in front of him. Lyotto Machida, another living legend was standing on the other side of the cage. The was the great opportunity as well, and man Fabian took it. After a small exchange on the fence, Fabian landed a short elbow which rocked Machida, and after that he finished him with on the ground and all of that in very first round.

Logan Storley defeated Michael Page

In the main event, Logan Storley was able to convince the judges with his performance that he was the winner. Storley was just using his wrestling to hold down and neutralize Michael Venom Page. Page was not able to turn around the fight and make damage in standup, while Storley was able to hold him down but no significant damage. At the end, Storley was the winner in not so exciting match.

Bellator president, Scot Cooker was not happy with this outcome:

“Honestly, I thought that ‘MVP’ won that fight, and the reason why I say that, to me, it’s like, I was talking to my guys back home and they go, ‘Look, it’s close but we think MVP won.’ And I said, ‘Well, why do you say that?’ And they said, ‘Because half the round, he was striking. The other half, you can’t just lay on somebody.’ You’re not doing any damage. You’re not getting closer to a submission. You’re not creating any threat. You’re just laying on somebody — and to me, that’s not MMA.

Control is one thing, but you can’t control somebody and just think that you’re going to win the fight,” Coker later added. “To me, it’s like, there’s certain things that have to happen, and wrestling alone is not going to be enough.”
