Georges St-Pierre and Michael Bisping to Compete in UFC Fight Pass Invitational

UFC Hall of Famer Georges St-Pierre and former opponent Michael Bisping are joining forces once again to create an unforgettable event for fans. During the promotion’s annual International Fight Week, it was announced that GSP would be making his highly anticipated return to combat sports in a no-gi submission grappling match at the end of the year. While the opponent has yet to be revealed, St-Pierre expressed his desire to have Bisping on the card alongside him.

Bisping, in a recent YouTube video, confirmed that St-Pierre had offered to train him for the event. He revealed that he had been invited to Austin, Texas to train with St-Pierre and John Danaher, and expressed his interest in grappling. Although he didn’t give a definite answer, Bisping seemed inclined to accept the offer, stating that it would give him something to train for and that it would be a pleasure and an honor to have St-Pierre’s help.

This event will mark the first time that St-Pierre and Bisping have appeared on the same card in six years. The two fighters last shared the Octagon at UFC 217, where St-Pierre defeated Bisping via third-round submission to become the fourth fighter in UFC history to hold titles in two different weight divisions. St-Pierre vacated the title due to a medical issue shortly after the fight, while Bisping went on to compete in one more bout before retiring from MMA in 2018.

Since his retirement, Bisping has transitioned into a successful career as a UFC commentator and host of the Believe You Me podcast. He has gained a loyal following on his YouTube channel, where he shares his unique insights into fights alongside light heavyweight contender Anthony ‘Lionheart’ Smith.
