Conor McGregor released a video statement after his surgery explaining what really happened with his broken leg in a fight agains Dustin Poirier. Here is the video:
In the video, Conor was looking really good, in a good spirit driving around with his electric wheelchair 😁
He talked about the surgery and explained that now he is OK, but he has titanium shin bone implemented from the knee to the ankle, “Doctor told me it is unbreakable!” – said Conor
“People were asking me, when was the leg broken? At what point did the leg break?… Ask Dana White, ask UFC, ask dr. Davidson – head doctor of UFC… they knew i was having stress fracture on my leg going into that cage…”
“… when the ankle was soar, i still did not stop training, i trained on my back and that is how i developed those ground and pound shots from the back. That is why Dustin backed away when he was on top on me…”
He also thanked everyone for messages of support and explained what will be the process of rehabilitation of the leg.
