Jake Paul’s Journey into MMA
Since making a name for himself in the boxing world, Jake Paul has set his sights on conquering the realm of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Despite his ongoing feud with UFC boss Dana White and his confrontations with former UFC stars, Paul’s desire to enter the cage has been met with anticipation. Recently, he signed a multi-year deal with the PFL to headline their SuperFights division.
However, Paul’s plans to face Nate Diaz in both boxing and MMA encounters were met with resistance. Diaz, a loyal UFC fighter, declined the offer, stating his commitment to the UFC. Despite this setback, Paul announced his return to the boxing ring with a fight against Andre August in mid-December, while also expressing his desire to be more active in 2024.
PFL boss Donn Davis shed light on Paul’s MMA debut during an interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour. Davis revealed that Paul has set his sights on Q4 of next year for his MMA debut, as he wants to ensure he is fully prepared and worthy of the challenge. Although Paul has persistently pursued a rematch with Diaz, it remains uncertain if the fight will ever come to fruition.
With the PFL offering Diaz a whopping $12 million for the fight, the ball is now in Diaz’s court. Will he accept the challenge and step into the cage with Jake Paul? Only time will tell.
