Michael Chandler defeated Brandon Girtz via arm-triangle choke submission in the first round of Bellator 197 main event. Gritz was able to defend couple of takedowns and was able to punish Chandler with some good shots every time when he tried to setup or execute takedown. But Chandler was pressing Gritz, and was able to put him against the cage, lift him up and slam on the canvas putting him in crucifix position immediately then switch to arm-triangle and put him to sleep.
This win, sets Micheal Chandler as a fighter with most wins in Bellator history (15), the most stoppage wins (11) and is tied for most submission wins
