Special agents with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) are seeking the public’s assistance to identify potential victims of a former mixed martial arts fighter arrested for charges related to sex trafficking of minors. The former fighter, known as ‘Underdog’, was apprehended at the Miami International Airport on Thanksgiving morning.
HSI Phoenix is conducting the investigation jointly with the HSI Bogota Transnational Criminal Investigative Unit’s Directorate of Protection and Special Services (DIPRO), which is comprised of members of the Colombian National Police. Assistance is also being provided by HSI Miami and HSI attache offices in Bangkok and Buenos Aires.
The accused, James Bond, previously known as Jaymes Christopher Schulte, allegedly engaged in illicit sexual contact in foreign places, production of child pornography, and other related offenses. According to the indictment, Bond had sex with eight minors in Colombia and solicited, recruited, and enticed them to engage in commercial sex acts. He also produced and distributed videos depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
Bond, who boasted about his international travel to various countries, including the Philippines, Vietnam, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Thailand, Taiwan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Russia, is expected to face charges in the District of Arizona.
HSI anticipates that additional victims will come forward from around the globe.
