Mixed martial arts enthusiasts were disappointed as the organizing committee of the 20th Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games in Japan announced that MMA would not be included as an official event. Despite its efforts to enter the exhibition event at the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games in China in 2023, MMA failed to achieve its goal. The next Asian Games will be held from September 19 to October 4, 2026. However, Jiu Jitsu and Köräs ̧ will retain their spots, as they were adopted as official events at previous Asian Games. Karate and 術 will also remain as they have been participating in the Asian Games for several editions. South Korea has had success in speculative sports at the Asian Games, with Jiu Jitsu and Wushu ranking third and fourth respectively in terms of medal count. Karate and Crash have also performed well, tying for fifth place. Kang Dae-ho, an MK Sports Reporter, provides further insights into South Korea’s performance.
