The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has announced two new multi-year broadcast deals in Belgium. Play Media’s streaming service, GoPlay, will cover the action in Dutch and Flemish in the Flanders region, while Orange Belgium’s VOOsport World TV channels will broadcast UFC live content in Wallonia, broadcasting in French.
Under these new agreements, both platforms will show over 40 UFC events per year, including all Fight Nights and numbered events. This means that Belgian fans will have a prime-time viewing experience for several events held in Europe.
In addition to live coverage, GoPlay and VOOsport World will provide additional content such as press conferences, weigh-ins, magazine programming, and original feature shows.
The previous rights holder of live UFC content in Belgium was Eleven Sports, which is now owned by DAZN, a global heavyweight in the sports broadcasting industry.
The first event to be aired on GoPlay and VOOsport World was UFC Fight Night: ANKALAEV vs. WALKER 2, which took place on January 14.
