The battle between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk heats up as Chatri Sityodtong, CEO of ONE Championship, weighs in on the feud. Find out what he has to say and the latest updates on this tech titans’ clash.
In a surprising turn of events, Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk have found themselves embroiled in a war of words. Chatri Sityodtong, CEO of ONE Championship, weighs in on the feud and shares his thoughts on the matter. As the head honcho of ONE Championship, Sityodtong is no stranger to the world of combat sports. With a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and the founder of Evolve MMA, he knows a thing or two about training. Having recently trained with Zuckerberg himself, Sityodtong was impressed by the Facebook CEO’s dedication to becoming a mixed martial artist. “I trained with Mark at his house a few months ago together with his teammates under Professor Dave (Camarillo). As a brown belt under Renzo Gracie, I can tell you that the training environment was truly world-class with utmost seriousness and intensity,” Sityodtong reveals. However, when it comes to Elon Musk, Sityodtong has a different perspective. Based on his extensive experience in matchmaking fights, he believes that Musk is overestimating his fighting ability without any actual training or competition experience. “Elon genuinely knows nothing about fighting or martial arts despite his claims to the contrary. As a lifelong expert martial artist, I can tell simply by the way he is acting. He has a false sense of bravado and no understanding or appreciation for what technical skills and knowledge can do in a fight,” Sityodtong explains. The feud between Zuckerberg and Musk escalated when Musk expressed his desire to fight Zuckerberg, even going as far as planning to show up at his house. Sityodtong, however, sees this behavior as bullying and calls out Musk for his actions. “Elon is one of the greatest entrepreneurs in history and I have a lot of respect for his guts, accomplishments, and intellect. However, I dislike bullying of any kind,” Sityodtong states. He also believes that Musk’s diversionary tactics are a clear indication that he doesn’t actually want to fight Zuckerberg. Sityodtong, who has encountered similar situations in his career as a promoter, explains that when someone truly wants to fight, they accept the challenge and show up. At this point, it seems unlikely that Musk will follow through with his threats. On the other hand, Zuckerberg appears to be serious about making his MMA debut and may even end up competing on a ONE Championship card.
