AEW’s Jake Hager has officially retired from the world of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) after a challenging journey with promotion ‘ Bellator MMA .’ Hager, who signed with Bellator MMA in 2017, had a successful run with the promotion, competing four times and remaining undefeated with a record of 3-0-1.
However, it has been almost three years since Hager last stepped into the Octagon, leading to speculation about his future in MMA. During a recent virtual signing event for K&S WrestleFest, Hager confirmed that he has decided to retire from MMA and will now focus solely on his wrestling career.
Hager expressed his frustration with Bellator, stating, ‘Officially, I’m retired from MMA. I trained hard last year, but Bellator was jerking me off. I retired and I am now just focusing on wrestling.’
