Safdie, who usually collaborates with his brother Josh Safdie, takes on his first solo directorial effort with this project.
The Smashing Machine is based on the life of Mark Kerr, a two-time UFC Heavyweight Tournament Champion. Known for his no-holds-barred fighting style, Kerr earned the nickname ‘The Smashing Machine’.
