Mikey Musumeci, the five-time IBJJF black belt champion and ONE Championship fighter, has challenged controversial streamer Sneako to a mixed martial arts (MMA) fight. This comes after Sneako made derogatory comments about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and Musumeci himself. Musumeci, known as ‘Darth Rigantoni’, expressed his dislike for bullies and vowed to shut Sneako’s mouth in the octagon.
In response, Sneako proposed a podcast with Musumeci and Mark Zuckerberg to discuss the topic of ‘who controls the world,’ which Musumeci trains with. However, it is unlikely that Zuckerberg would accept such an offer.
BJJ instructor Keenan Cornelius criticized Musumeci’s reaction, stating that responding to verbal insults with threats of violence makes Musumeci the bully. Musumeci clarified that he had no intention of harming Sneako and wanted to demonstrate the effectiveness of BJJ. He planned to rely solely on his jiu-jitsu skills while allowing Sneako to utilize his boxing training.
Musumeci emphasized that he would not have harmed Sneako, highlighting the significant size difference between them. He believed that the MMA fight would have been an opportunity to humble Sneako in a non-violent manner. Ultimately, it would have been Sneako’s choice to accept or decline the contest.
The question remains: Was Musumeci the bully, or was it the other way around?
