ONE Championship had its Amazon Prime debut. The main event, in which Demetrious Johnson was crowned the new flyweight champion, was live streamed on the streaming service from Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Spectacular KO by Demetrious Johnson
The most spectacular knockout of Johnson’s career came in the fourth round. He dodged a left from Moraes and then answered with a right hook of his own that knocked the champion to the ground.
He launched a flying knee at Moraes while the Brazilian was still dazed, knocking him out. With the end occurring at the 3:50 mark, there was no need for any additional strikes.
He increases his record to 24-4 with the victory and becomes the first fighter to hold titles from both the ONE Championship and the UFC. Moraes loses the flyweight championship he has been holding since 2019 and drops to 20-4.
Nong-O Gaiyanghadao vs Liam Harrison
Liam Harrison and Nong-O Gaiyanghadao’s bout for the bantamweight Muay Thai title fight was supposed to be explosive, but the Englishman never had a chance to start. He was clearly injured by a leg kick from the champion early in the round, but he persisted in the fight. Harrison was thrown to the ground by another leg kick, and he was helpless to get to his feet. At the 2:10 mark, Nong-O took the victory after the Englishman’s left leg could no longer bear the weight of his body.
