In a recent appearance on the Weighing In podcast, Franklin shared his thoughts on the match and predicted an intense battle between the two grappling wizards. He noted that both fighters are aggressive and have similar styles, which will likely result in a fast-paced and engaging fight.
Franklin also mentioned Tye Ruotolo’s previous clash with Reinier de Ridder, highlighting the latter’s determination to hunt for submissions. He praised Ruotolo’s impressive winning streak against top opponents, including de Ridder, Dagi Arslanaliev, Garry Tonon, and Marat Gafurov.
