The announcement was made by Diniz’s management company, All In Sports, on social media. Diniz, who is undefeated in his professional mixed martial arts career, has a background in professional kickboxing and made the transition to MMA in May 2022.
Known for his ability to finish fights early, Diniz has recorded six first-round finishes in all of his previous outings. His most recent victory came in September on the Contender Series, where he secured a Round 1 technical knockout against Eduardo Neves, earning himself a UFC contract.
On the other hand, Lane is coming off a Round 1 knockout loss to Justin Tafa at UFC 293. Their initial meeting in June was declared a no contest due to an accidental eye poke by Lane, leading to the rematch. Prior to the loss, Lane was on a six-fight winning streak, including a Round 1 TKO win over Richard Jacobi on the Contender Series in 2022.
