In a viral interview moment from the Canelo vs Crawford media day, Dana White was asked about Jon Jones and his current standing with the UFC, and White had a lot to share.
Dana White told the reporter that Jon Jones” reached out and wrote like a text”. According to Dana, Jon Jones apologized for “how it all played out” with the Tim Aspinall fight.
Now this is where it gets interesting. “I wanna fight at the White House, I’m serious about that”, Jones told Dana. To which Dana White said, “I appreciate him doing that and reaching out, but I need people I can trust”.
Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall was one of the biggest fights of 2025. It had a lot depending on it. UFC’s deal post ESPN, the excitement for the fans, etc, but it all went to waste when Jones announced his retirement from MMA.
