UFC 291: Poirier vs Gaethje Rematch for BMF Championship

The highly anticipated UFC 291 event is set to take place tonight at The Delta Center in Salt Lake City. The main event will feature a rematch between top lightweights Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje, who previously put on a Fight of the Night performance. This time, they will be competing for the BMF championship, adding even more excitement to the fight.

In the co-main event, former champions Jan Błachowicz and Alex Pereira will face off in a light heavyweight bout. Pereira, who recently lost the middleweight title, will be making his debut in the weight class. Błachowicz, on the other hand, will be looking to spoil Pereira’s move and prove that he deserves another shot at the light heavyweight belt.

The main card also includes a highly anticipated matchup between welterweights Michael Chiesa and Kevin Holland. Chiesa, a top-ranked welterweight, will be looking to solidify his position in the division with a win over Holland. Meanwhile, former interim titleholder Tony Ferguson will be aiming to end his five-fight losing streak when he takes on Bobby Green.

The main card will kick off with a heavyweight bout between Derrick Lewis and Marcos Rogério de Lima. Originally slated for the prelims, this fight was moved to the main card after the welterweight matchup between Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson and Michel Pereira was canceled due to Pereira’s weight miss.

The early preliminary card will begin at 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN+ and UFC Fight Pass, followed by the prelims at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC, ESPN, and ESPN+. The main card will be available on PPV through ESPN+ starting at 10:00 p.m. ET.
