UFC Nashville took place last night at the Bridgestone Arena in Tennessee, delivering an action-packed evening of fights. In the main event, Cory Sandhagen emerged victorious in a Bantamweight bout against Rob Font. Sandhagen’s win solidifies his position as a top contender in the division, but who will he face next?
Sandhagen’s Next Opponent
With three consecutive wins under his belt, Sandhagen is now eyeing a shot at the title. The only man standing in his way is Merab Dvalishvili, the current No. 1 ranked fighter in the Bantamweight division. Alternatively, Sandhagen could also face Umar Nurmagomedov, a matchup that was originally scheduled for this past weekend.
Suarez’s Impressive Performance
Tatiana Suarez put on a masterful display in the co-main event, submitting Jessica Andrade in the second round. Suarez’s undefeated record now stands at 10-0, with 7 of those wins coming in the UFC. She is steadily climbing back into contention after a four-year hiatus and is looking for her next challenge.
Potential Opponent for Suarez
Yan Xiaonan, who recently defeated Andrade, could be the perfect opponent for Suarez. Both fighters are on winning streaks and a matchup between them would determine the next contender in the Strawweight division.
Other Notable Winners
Dustin Jacoby secured a first-round TKO victory over Kennedy Nzechukwu, breaking his two-fight losing streak. He could potentially face Dominick Reyes, a former title challenger who is currently ranked No. 12.
Tanner Boser also ended his losing streak with a unanimous decision win over Aleksa Camur. A matchup against Devin Clark, who is also looking to regain momentum, would make for an intriguing fight.
Ľudovít Klein, coming off a win over Ignacio Bahamondes, could face Joel Alvarez in his next bout. Alvarez is coming off a submission victory over Marc Diakiese.
Diego Lopes secured his first win in the Octagon by defeating Gavin Tucker. He could potentially face Billy Quarantillo, who also emerged victorious on the undercard.
