Ben Tynan vs Mauro Cerilli: Clash for the Heavyweight MMA Belt

Ben Tynan, with an impressive record of 6-0, is set to take on former title challenger Mauro Cerilli at ONE 167. Tynan has been making waves in the ONE Championship, winning his first two fights in spectacular fashion. In his debut, he submitted Kang Ji Won in the third round, and just recently, he finished Duke Didier in the opening round. Fans have been drawn to Tynan not only for his undefeated record but also for his unique choice of wearing denim-style shorts in the ring.

On the other hand, Cerilli’s ONE Championship career has been a mix of wins and losses since joining the promotion in 2018. Although he fought for the title in his debut, he was stopped by Brandon Vera. With three wins from his six appearances, Cerilli is coming off a victory over Paul Elliott last year.

The highly-anticipated event on June 8 will see ONE Championship return to the Impact Arena, with a capacity of 11,000, for the first time since January 2023. The main event will feature Thai star Stamp Fairtex defending her atomweight MMA title against former teammate Denice Zamboanga. In the co-main event, Tawanchai PKSaenchaigym will defend his featherweight Muay Thai belt against Jo Nattawut in a rematch.

Another Thai champion, Rodtang Jitmuangnon, will also be in action, facing Denis Puric in a kickboxing bout. Additionally, Liam Harrison, former bantamweight Muay Thai title challenger, will make his long-awaited return after a two-year absence due to knee surgery. He is scheduled to face Katsuki Kitano in his comeback bout. Lastly, Adrian Lee, the younger brother of Angela Lee and Christian Lee, will make his professional debut at ONE 167, going up against Antonio Mammarella in a lightweight MMA bout.
