Deontay Wilder stopped Luis Ortiz in round 7 by a perfect right hand at 2:50. Referee gave a count to Luis but he was unable to stand up on time and the fight was over.
Luis despite the defeat, displayed very good performance, he was looking really good in early rounds and probably was winning them. But Wilder was measuring, setting up traps and finally in round 7 a strong right direct to the Luis forehead and he fell down not being able to get up.
At the time of KO, Luis was leading on all 3 score cards, but Wilder said he do not care about losing rounds when he got a power. For him was more important to do the right things, find the moment and deliver that punch.
After the fight, Wilder said Tyson Fury rematch is next, planned for February and after that he said i want to unify belts against winner
