Mike Perry, the UFC veteran, has signed a new multi-fight deal with BKFC. Find out what’s next for Perry in the world of bare-knuckle fighting. Exciting details inside!
Mike Perry, the UFC veteran, has recently signed a new multi-fight deal with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). This news was confirmed by BKFC officials on Wednesday, putting an end to the speculation surrounding Perry’s future. After a successful three-fight run with the promotion, Perry decided to stay with BKFC and continue his bare-knuckle journey.
Perry joined BKFC in 2021 and made an immediate impact with a victory over Julian Lane in his debut. He then faced off against Bellator star Michael “Venom” Page in a highly anticipated crossover fight in London. The back-and-forth battle ended in a draw, but both fighters agreed to an extra round as per the contractual stipulation. Perry emerged victorious in the sixth round, securing the decision win over Page.
In April, Perry participated in one of the biggest BKFC events to date, where he went head-to-head with former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold. The event was star-studded, with Conor McGregor in attendance. Perry showcased his skills by landing several powerful punches in the second round, forcing Rockhold to concede the fight. Following the bout, Perry revealed that it was the last fight on his contract with BKFC. However, BKFC president David Feldman expressed confidence in reaching a new agreement with Perry.
Feldman praised Perry’s abilities and stated that he is tailor-made for bare-knuckle fighting. While Perry has a background in mixed martial arts, Feldman believes that bare-knuckle fighting is where he truly shines. Perry has already gained recognition and popularity in the sport and has the potential to become a superstar in BKFC.
As of now, there is no official announcement regarding Perry’s next fight. However, Feldman hinted at plans for another major BKFC event before the end of 2023. With his new deal in place, Perry can now focus on preparing for his upcoming bouts and continue to make his mark in the world of bare-knuckle fighting.
