Exciting Night of Fights

The World Fighting Championships is set to make its highly anticipated return on January 19th at the luxurious Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California. The event will feature a stacked card headlined by a thrilling matchup between Cris Cyborg and Kelsey Wickstrum.

This will be Cyborg’s second professional boxing fight, following her impressive debut in 2022. She dominated Gabrielle Holloway and secured a unanimous decision victory. Now, she is ready to take on the challenge of Wickstrum, who is ranked #3 in the USA at super welterweight for women’s boxing.

Wickstrum, with an undefeated record of 2-0, is coming off a first-round stoppage win over Sudana Moore. She is determined to prove herself against the legendary Cyborg and make a statement in the world of mixed martial arts and women’s combat sports.

In addition to the main event, the co-main event will feature a six-round welterweight bout between San Diego’s Jesus Resendiz and Rosekie Cristobal of the Philippines. Resendiz, with a record of 7-0-1, is riding high on a third-round knockout victory, while Cristobal looks to make a strong comeback after a hiatus since 2021.

Other exciting matchups on the card include Angel Estrada vs. Frank Brown in the super lightweight division, Angel Munoz vs. Keith Carson in the super welterweight division, and Freddie Johnson vs. Alex Gutierrez in the super featherweight division.

The World Fighting Championships is thrilled to have Cris Cyborg headlining the event and is grateful to Pechanga Resort Casino and the Pechanga Band of Indians for their partnership.
