Claressa Shields, also known as "The Gwoat," has expressed her desire to compete in an inter-gender boxing contest. In addition to calling out former WBC welterweight champion Keith Thurman, Shields has once again mentioned Jake Paul’s name. Taking to Twitter, Shields stated that she still wants to fight Paul, criticizing his performance against Nate Diaz as "mediocre." This is not the first time Shields has called out Paul, as she previously wanted to test her boxing skills against her fellow PFL colleague.
A Surprising Match-Up in the Lightweight Division
Jalin Turner, the #12-ranked lightweight, recently asked fans who he should fight next. To his surprise, Renato Moicano, who holds the #13 ranking, responded and proposed a fight at UFC 295, scheduled to take place at Madison Square Garden on November 11. Both fighters are known for their exciting performances in the Octagon, and fans are eagerly anticipating this match-up.
Vincente Luque’s Top 10 Welterweights
Vincente Luque is set to make his return to the Octagon after back-to-back losses. In a recent interview, Luque was asked to rank the top ten welterweights in the division. Interestingly, he placed himself above Geoff Neal, whom he had previously lost to. However, two notable omissions from his list were Khamzat Chimaev and Colby Covington. While Chimaev’s absence can be explained by his upcoming fight in the middleweight division, Covington’s exclusion is surprising considering his #2 spot in the official rankings and his potential title shot against Leon Edwards later this year.
