Introducing Michael ‘Venom’ Page

The UFC has just added another big-name fighter to its roster, and his name is Michael ‘Venom’ Page, also known as MVP. At 36 years old, MVP is ready to make a significant impact in a short amount of time. He is set to face Kevin Holland at UFC 299 on March 9, 2024, with his ultimate goal being the welterweight title.

In a recent interview with TNT Sports, Page expressed his confidence and determination to prove himself on the world stage of mixed martial arts. He stated, ‘My ego tells me that I can beat everyone in the UFC. There’s not a single person who can defeat me.’ Page is focused on making a statement and creating a buzz in the MMA community.

MVP Calls for Fines Against Fighters That Cross the Line

Despite being a newcomer to the UFC, Page is not afraid to voice his opinions on controversial topics. Recently, Colby Covington made headlines with his disrespectful comments about Leon Edwards’ late father during the UFC 296 press conference on December 16. MVP strongly condemned this level of promotion and stated, ‘I hate what I’ve been seeing in combat sports. Talking about people’s fathers, girlfriends, and kids is not what martial arts is about.’

While Page understands that trash talk can help promote fights, he suggests implementing fines to discourage fighters from crossing the line. He believes that introducing penalties, similar to yellow cards in football, would discourage fighters from promoting fights in inappropriate ways.
