Professional Fighters League (PFL) continues to make history in the world of mixed martial arts (MMA). According to a recent report by ESPN’s Marc Raimondi, the promotion has signed Hattan Alsaif, making her the first-ever Saudi Arabian-born women’s fighter to join a major MMA organization.

Alsaif, who has previously competed in Muay Thai, expressed her excitement about receiving a contract from the PFL. She stated, "Being the first female MMA fighter from Saudi Arabia to be signed by a major global organization like PFL is a true honor. I won’t take this responsibility lightly and am committed to representing my country. I hope this paves the way for more opportunities for aspiring female fighters."

Before transitioning to MMA, Alsaif achieved significant success as a Muay Thai fighter. She won the gold medal at the 2023 International Federation of Muay Thai Associations World Championships and placed first in the World Combat Games and the Saudi Games in 2023.

Although a date for her PFL debut has not been confirmed, it is expected to take place before the end of the year. The weight class in which Alsaif will compete has also not been announced.
