Cory Sandhagen vs. Rob Font: A Clash of Bantamweight Titans

This Saturday in Nashville, Tennessee, UFC Fight Night presents an electrifying main event between Cory Sandhagen and Rob Font. The highly anticipated matchup between these top-10 bantamweights promises to be a thrilling showdown.

Sandhagen (16-4) enters the octagon on a two-fight winning streak, with his most recent victory being a split-decision win over Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera in March. Ranked No. 5 in the ESPN men’s bantamweight rankings, Sandhagen is known for his relentless pace and ability to control the fight both on the feet and on the ground.

On the other side of the cage, we have Font (20-6), who recently broke out of a two-fight skid with a first-round TKO victory over Adrian Yanez in April. Currently ranked ninth in the bantamweight division, Font is a skilled boxer with a high volume of strikes. He has also made significant improvements in his ground game, making him a well-rounded threat.

This matchup was originally scheduled to be a bantamweight bout, but due to a late replacement, it will now be contested at a catchweight of 140 pounds. Font stepped in less than two weeks ago to replace Sandhagen’s original opponent, Umar Nurmagomedov, who withdrew due to a shoulder injury.

The fight will take place at the Bridgestone Arena and will be broadcasted on ESPN and ESPN+. The main card is set to start at 9 p.m. ET, following the prelims at 6 p.m.
