Retired UFC welterweight, Jorge Masvidal, recently shared his thoughts on his intense rivalry with Kamaru Usman. Masvidal, also known as ‘Gamebred,’ challenged Usman for the welterweight title twice during his impressive MMA career. Unfortunately, he fell short on both occasions, losing a unanimous decision in their first fight and suffering a devastating second-round knockout in their rematch.
Masvidal believes that if circumstances were different, he may have had a different outcome against Usman. He recalled a chance encounter with Usman just before the latter’s fight against Khamzat Chimaev. Masvidal bumped into Usman at an establishment in the early hours of the morning, and they had a brief exchange.
