UFC, the world’s premier mixed martial arts organisation, is set to make a thrilling comeback to Abu Dhabi on Saturday 3 August. The event will take place at the prestigious Etihad Arena, marking the second UFC event in the UAE capital within a year.

Abu Dhabi has a rich history with UFC, hosting a total of 18 events since UFC 112: INVINCIBLE in April 2010. Last year, in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), UFC presented UFC 294: MAKHACHEV vs VOLKANOVSKI 2. The sold-out Etihad Arena witnessed an epic lightweight title defense by Islam Makhachev against fan favorite Alexander Volkanovski, who courageously stepped up to the challenge on short notice.

The growth of MMA in the UAE has been remarkable, with UFC signing its first-ever Emirati athlete, Mohammad Yahya. Yahya made his debut in front of a passionate home crowd at UFC 294, further solidifying Abu Dhabi as a rising hub for MMA talent.
