Michael Chandler criticizes the upcoming boxing match between Logan Paul and Dillon Danis, questioning the purpose of the fight and the motivations behind it. Read more to find out Chandler’s thoughts on the matchup.
Michael Chandler, a former Bellator prospect, is not impressed with the upcoming boxing match between Logan Paul and Dillon Danis. Scheduled to take place on Oct. 14, 2023, the fight marks Danis’ return to combat sports after a hiatus. Paul, who previously fought Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a 2021 exhibition match, will be welcoming Danis back to the ring. However, Chandler, along with the rest of the MMA community, is tired of Danis’ attention-seeking behavior and empty promises.
Chandler expressed his frustration with the matchup on his YouTube channel, questioning the purpose of the fight. He believes that Logan Paul and his brother Jake, who have gained fame through social media, are simply capitalizing on their popularity. While Jake Paul has been working to establish himself as a professional boxer, Logan Paul’s choice to fight Danis, someone Chandler considers a troll, is perplexing.
Chandler points out that neither Paul nor Danis have dedicated themselves to their combat careers. Logan Paul, however, has been more active in the boxing ring and has even signed with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in 2022. Despite Danis’ connection to Conor McGregor, Chandler sees no appeal in his antics and believes the fight is nothing more than a spectacle.
In Chandler’s eyes, there is no boxing talent or credibility on Danis’ side. He questions when Danis last fought or fulfilled a contract, suggesting that Danis spends more time on social media than in the gym. Chandler’s frustration stems from the fact that fights like this continue to happen, fueled by the desire for financial gain and the attention generated by social media.
