Jorge Masvidal’s Return to the Octagon
Jorge Masvidal, the former two-time welterweight title challenger, is preparing for a boxing rematch against Nate Diaz. However, he has confirmed his plans to make a comeback to the UFC soon.
Masvidal, who previously held the symbolic BMF champion title, retired from professional mixed martial arts in April last year. After suffering four consecutive losses, including a decision defeat to Colby Covington and two championship fight losses to Kamaru Usman, he decided to end his career.
Now, Masvidal is focusing on fight promoting with Gamebred Fighting Championship. He will return to Las Vegas in June to face Diaz in a rematch of their 2019 fight under the UFC banner.
Despite his upcoming boxing match, Masvidal has vowed to snap his four-fight losing streak in the UFC. In their previous encounter, Masvidal defeated Diaz with a third-round doctor’s stoppage TKO to win the symbolic BMF title.
