Tsarukyan’s Rise in the Division

Tsarukyan, who currently occupies the #8 spot at 155 pounds, has long been touted as one of the hottest prospects in the division. While his rise took a hit courtesy of a narrow main event loss to Mateusz Gamrot last June, he’s since bounced back in style.

Recent Victories

After outpointing Damir Ismagulov in December 2022, the Armenian-Russian returning to finishing ways at UFC Vegas 75 earlier this month. There, Tsarukyan defended his spot on the ladder with a vicious ground-and-pound TKO win over Joaquin Silva.

Deserving of a Shot at the Top Five

Having struggled to find a higher-ranked opponent last time out, Tsarukyan insisted that he’s deserving of a shot at the top five when he makes his return. And if that comes to fruition, he fully expects to make the most of it en route to a second dance with the divisional kingpin.

Threat to Makhachev’s Reign
